Hi everyone,

I've been busy working on the quilt run quilt. Busy making store samples, and busy working on some scrap strip quilts. week Thor has to audit a mill in Mississippi, and I am going with him. We'll be about 2 hours from New Orleans in a town called Brookhaven.


Quilt Run 101
February 10 - 20, all shops open 9:30-5:30

Mardi Gras at the beach, we're giving away a pattern and throw beads. Pick up a passport at the first shop you visit, then, have each of the other shops you visit stamp it too. Turn in your passport at the last shop you visit. Visit all 14 shops to have a chance of winning a Janome sewing machine! Visit fewer shops and be eligible for gift certificates.

Strip Tube Bear Paw
Saturday February 11, 10:00 am

Make fast, easy, and fabulous quilt blocks from strips and the tube method of cutting. It's a great way to make a Bear Paw quilt.

March 10th
Jolly Roll Practice Race
10:00 am

This could be the quickest quilt top you'll ever make -- your task is to turn one jelly roll (forty 2-1/2" strips) into a quilt as quickly as you can. A jelly roll makes a cool 48" x 64" quilt. Each one is unique even if two people use the same jelly roll. (Or use up leftover strips from other projects think stashbuster).
Prize for the winner!!
Entry Fee $10; includes pattern, race snack, and water.

A Fantastic quilt that goes together easily and makes good use of an odd collection of fabric stripss. It is important to select at least one fabric with contrast or sparkle in order to highlight the design.
