I made this over the weekend for a class I’m teaching next week.

Writing instructions is not as easy as it sounds. I love my pumpkins.

I’m donating my Salmon Label quilt to Astoria High School for the Super Homecoming Auction. I think I posted this picture already, but here it is again. This is a work in progress. I put the backing together and hope to get it on the longarm Thursday.

It ended up about 54″ x 65″. I love it and have several people who want to buy it!

Can’t wait to quilt it!

Have you ever thought about what you do in a day? I have. So today I got up, did my normal bathing, take meds, brushed teeth, put on sleeve.

Downstairs to get my shoes, don’t forget to grab my Kindle! Try not to trip on the pugs. Go outside to let the ducks out, make sure they have food and water. ‘Walk’ them down the yard and back.

Come back inside and feed the dogs and cats. Now I can get my breakfast! Check blood sugar and take diabetes meds. Read! Get lunch, bag, keys. Let’s get to the shop!

Unlock the door, turn on the lights, get money for the til. Turn on the radio. Put chairs outside. Check for phone messages. Put lunch in fridge, put bag in a safe place. Are you tired yet?

10am, remember to turn the sign to open.

Such is my morning on the North Coast of Oregon. Won’t bore you with the rest of the day.

All the small black dots are fishing boats.

A grain ship on the Columbia. Taken from 10th Street in front of the shop. Love seeing the river every day! The smaller boat is a pilot boat. There are bar pilots who bring ships over the Columbia River bar and river pilots who bring ships up and down the river.

I finished this table topper Wednesday.

I used decorative stitches on my Bernina to ‘make’ the second ‘fabric’. I also used my alphabet and wrote Happy Halloween, Goblins, Witches on the fabric.

It was fun to decide which stitch to use, how to manipulate it and what color thread to use for best effect.

Look for a class on this!

I got a digital camera for my birthday!  It is very much like my old Minolta film camera. Right now I have a 70-200mm lens on it. I’d like to get a 59 mm for normal shooting, and a 28mm for wide angle.

Just celebrated my birthday. Thor plotted with Lisa and the girls to have birthday cake with candles, at Saturday Sampler.

We went to Hug Point and had some fun. I brought a blanket and a book to read. Bianca and Dozer went too. Dozer had great fun running around, Bianca sat with me on the blanket.

At home Thor grilled steaks. They were yummy! Then chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream.
